From Mexico City
to the Mediterranean.
Born into one of Mexico's most prominent families, Mariana was introduced to Kundalini Yoga at age six by her mother. At eighteen, her mother introduced her to Deepak Chopra — beginning a friendship and collaboration that continues over thirty years later.
She studied literature, earned a PhD on language and cultural identity, published poetry born from eleven years of visiting her father in prison, lived in an ashram, and trained in craniosacral therapy at the Upledger Institute.
She met Mallorcan composer Joan Valent at the Hay Festival in Colombia. After seven years in Mexico together, they moved to Mallorca. In 2020 — during a global pandemic — she opened Sadhana Works. Within four years, she brought Deepak Chopra to the island, co-hosted Europe's first Sages & Scientists symposium, and built what El Espanol calls "the most awarded wellness center in Mallorca."
